Fred Hirwa was born and raised in Rwanda. He has been a guide since 2017.

His journey began as a park guide at Akagera National Park, where he developed a deep love for wildlife and conservation. 

Fred's favourite places to take guests are Volcanoes National Park and Akagera National Park in Rwanda, and Mount Gahinga National Park in Uganda, to see the endangered gorillas. 

In his free time, he enjoys reading about different cultures and birds.
